Orthman Conveying Systems Celebrates First Anniversary in Texas

Everyone knows how painful moving can be with the packing, planning and changing all your services and mailing address — but imagine moving a whole company 700 miles away to a new state. On top of that,                       That’s the scenario Jimmy Rios was asked to navigate when Orthman Manufacturing Inc. in Lexington, Nebraska, made            
Rios, who worked for OMI but lived in Texas, knew the local Dallas-Fort Worth area would be a great environment for the newly independent Orthman Conveying Systems. For one thing, there was a ready-made labor force as the Fort Worth area is            in this exact type of manufacturing.
Secondly, Texas is famous for its business-friendly tax and          the past 10 years that over 1 million extra people now call the DFW metroplex home, helping it grow into the fourth-largest metro area in the country.
“Our company is poised to take the next step in growth and we felt this was the best place to do that,” Rios says. “One of the main reasons was simply human capital, but also the supply chain here. We now have access to all the same materials and supplies

The company’s new home is just down the street from a              outskirts of Cleburne, a rapidly growing city about 30 miles south of Fort Worth.
